MAES21 has its own vegetable garden. The kitchen brigade uses vegetables, fruit and herbs from this vegetable garden, the Maesfeld.
In the vegetable patch, we grow seasonal produce such as strawberries, potatoes, sea beet, mouse melon, sweetcorn, pumpkins, etc. Additionally, the chefs can make use of a range of herbs from liquorice plant to catmint.
The Maesfeld is under the inspiring guidance of our neighbour. He puts an enormous amount of energy, enjoyment, passion and knowledge into it. Weekly, the chefs brainstorm new ideas and the development of the vegetable garden with Jhonny. The Maesfeld, where at first we will be doing a lot of sowing, will soon also be harvested, and you will reap the benefits.
